Caique off the coast of Chora, Kalymnos
Kontos Nikos
Colour depiction of a caique heading towards the harbour of Chora on Kalymnos, in an aerial photograph taken from the north-east by N. Kontos. In the foreground is a traditional fishing vessel on whose deck can be seen a man and two boys. In the background stretches Pothia (Chora) with its densely built houses along the coast, where the church of Saint Nicholas, patron saint of Kalymnos, is clearly visible. Above the town rises the green slope of Saint Savvas hill, crowned by the monastery of the same name.
