The House of Hermes on Delos
Parissis Romylos
Colour photographic view of the House of Hermes on Delos, photographed by R. Parissis in 1976. This was a wealthy private residence belonging to the Paconii family, dating to the 2nd century BC. It took its name from the statue of Hermes discovered within it. The house extends across four different levels, following the slope of the terrain. The image shows the ground floor and first floor with the restored inner peristyle.
