Skourogiannis Giannis
Colour photographic detail of the neoclassical “House with the Statues” in Chalkida, photographed by G. Skourogiannis. The building stands on the northern side of Chalkida’s seafront and was constructed in 1891. Visible in the upper structure is a window with closed French-style shutters in a terracotta shade, marble pilasters with capitals and an architrave. The parapet of the roof is decorated with anthemion terracotta acroteria and two of the four terracotta statues depicting a female and a male figure from classical antiquity.
