Colour photographic view of the medieval Tower of Pitios in Chios, photographed by G. Skourogiannis. It is a sixteen-sided structure with battlements built upon a natural rocky outcrop. Its construction dates to the Genoese period (1346–1566). At the foot of the hill and on the right side of the image can be seen traditional stone buildings of the settlement, a windmill without sails and a church.
